Last time, we covered the first 5 things you’ll need for your big day. Today we’ll go over the last 5 things you’ll need for an incredible wedding day.

6. Stay nourished and hydrated

You’ve probably heard stories that the bride and groom never get to eat their wedding meal, which is unfortunately true for many couples. Break the cycle by taking a few minutes to enjoy the food you put so much planning into.

And how about the rest of your wedding day? It’s vital that you stay fed and hydrated throughout the entire day so that you can enjoy the event to the fullest. Make it easy by planning ahead for how you’ll get meals outside of your catered reception meal.

7. Have a plan for bad weather

No one wants a rainy wedding day, but unfortunately it can happen. If your wedding and/or reception are being held outdoors, be sure to have a rain plan in case of inclement weather.

Rain plan tents are a great backup plan, as they still give you the sense and ambience of being outdoors while keeping you (and all your guests!) nice and dry.

8. Don’t forget transportation

Between you, your bridal party, and any family members you want to handle transportation for, the number of vehicles you need will add up. Consider larger transports, like party buses, trolleys, etc. to transport a large number of people.

9. Plan for your guests

Consider how many out-of-towners are attending your wedding and block off hotel rooms (often at a special discount) for the guests. Then, consider making welcome gift bags for these guests upon arrival. These bags will often include local goodies, water, first aid supplies, and other creative elements.

Also, while wedding favors aren’t a requirement, they certainly add a special touch to any event. Thank your guests for being at your big day by choosing a favor that is meaningful for your wedding.

10. Designate a cleanup crew

You’re likely bringing things to your reception, whether it’s decor, favors, or even the food. Since the end of your wedding night can be hectic, designate a few people to help gather any and all items that need to go home with you – plus the vehicles they’ll be going into.
