Exeter Events and Tents was proud to be involved in the first ever east west high school all-star game. Michael Parkin founding member of Exeter Events and Tents has for many years refereed youth basketball and football games here in the granite state. From this undying passion Michael immediately volunteered not only his time but the vast resources of his event rental business including tents to help make this event the success it became. Like most home town heroes Michael would never take credit for any of the philanthropic work he has done. “That’s not why I do it” is always his response when I ask him to let me talk about it on his blog and out in cyber space. So in recognition and supporting of his wishes I have included a letter that was sent to all board members and volunteers for this event.
The real story here is the event itself as you will see when you check out the supplied links, here is a positive event for all the high school youth in our state. Team effort, individual achievement, competition, and fair play are just some of the important life lessons events like this foster.
Let me say that I am proud to know Michael so congratulations not only to him but to all the people that were involved in this event keep up the good work you are all home town heros.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to our dedicated committee members for your amazing contributions to the first ever NH East—West High School All-Star Football Game, powered by BASC. What a great weekend for everyone involved. None of this would be possible without the great team that was assembled to ‘write the first chapter in this book’. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Over $300,000 was raised for CHaD and Kristen’s Gift, including $58,000 in in-kind support. This money will go a long way to help CHaD care for our region’s children. We’re sure we can all agree that this event has a tremendous amount of potential, and we can’t wait to get it started on Year 2. This committee and our first class of All-Star Players have certainly set the bar high and laid a strong foundation for the future of this game. We are proud to have worked alongside you to bring this dream to reality.
Please write down all of your feedback and notes from the game. We are hoping to meet in the next couple of weeks to celebrate and have our first meeting to kick off our 2nd Annual All-Star Game, focused on what can we do to improve the event. We will be in touch soon with a date. Here is some of the coverage the game received over the weekend.
