Beautiful Beginning to Fall at Breakwater Inn and Spa!

Allie & Brian had a perfect day for their out door ceremony and tented reception in Kennebunkport, Maine! We tend to frequent Maine a lot, with Breakwater Inn and Spa being one of our popular spots we always LOVE the photos captured here. “At the point where the river spills into the Atlantic Ocean sits a captivating Kennebunkport hotel — The Breakwater Inn & Spa. One of the Port’s oldest inns, our original 1880’s Maine cottage architecture evokes the soothing tranquility of a bygone era — where the allure of a good book or a glass of wine enjoyed in a chair pointed toward the water never goes out of style.”

Enjoy these gorgeous shots from Two Adventurous Souls and the lovely bouquets made by Fleurant – we love how the flowers tie in the color scheme as well as scenic background! Incredible job from the talented Anne, of Salty and Sweet Events ! We will surely be sharing some of these on our Instagram page, if you don’t already follow us click here to see what we post!

Congrats to Allie & Brian!

The Viewpoint Has Its Name For A Reason

Gina and Ben’s celebration on the coast of Maine was truly one for the books. It makes perfect sense that Carats and Cake would pick this one up to feature! Behind the lens we had the incredibly talented Elizabeth Laduca and we are so excited to share her photos with you! The Viewpoint offers an outstanding scenic backdrop of the ocean with The Nubble Lighthouse in view! They say “From our lush lawns to our ocean-front terrace patios, memories of your special day may be captured in photos from one of the most beautiful locations on the East Coast.”

Krissy Campbell was the brain behind the entire day coming together in the most perfect way! She quoted “ The movement and texture of Gina’s bridal gown and her maids…I can’t get enough! We loved bringing together this celebration with Gina and Ben and this amazing team!! “

We were honored to be a vendor among the many talented vendors of this day (Read below for full list and links to websites!) Thank you to Gina and Ben for choosing to celebrate under a Sperry Tent! Now enjoy their amazing photos!

Prout’s Neck Wedding Perfection

If you haven’t heard of Prout’s Neck, Maine it is actually a coastal peninsula that is situated within the town of Scarborough! It is a place we have been frequenting for quite a few years now and is an incredible wedding venue location! Laura and Carl hired the ever so talented Brea McDonald who said, “Prouts Neck is one of those quintessential, timeless coastal Maine communities that you just fall in love with! And it was the PERFECT setting for Laura and Carl’s wedding weekend. From the shingled chapel, the navy blazers, custom lobster monogram and Laura’s heirloom veil their wedding day was straight out of New England look book! “ You can read up on Brea’s blog here.

Laura and Carl had a drop dead GORGEOUS reception by water! Can you imagine dining with those ocean views – too good! Thanks to Kitchen Chicks were sure the view wasn’t the only thing the guests were talking about during dinner!

Be sure to take note of Laura’s dress- what a cool switch up from ceremony to reception!

You’ll Clearly See Why We Love Clear Top Tents!

This past May we took a little trip over to Lebanon, Maine to set up for Evan and Emilia’s big day! The talented photographer Dani M Towle took so many great shots of our clear top tent we could not wait to share! She actually wrote a nice blog on it linked here if you’d like to read more or care to see more images!

Dani listed three of her favorite things about this day… and guess what was number one?! THE TENT. Quoted here – Dani said “ The tent! I have NEVER seen a clear tent before. It was a little nerve-racking because I wasn’t sure how the lighting would be, but it was amazing! All of the little details she had went so well with the clear tent. She had clear signs, clear invitations, clear shoes…Emilia was all over it. “

This day looked like a blast and it was so amazing guests were able to enjoy the scenery all night long thanks to that clear top! Actually, guests had quite the experience this night considering Emilia had Pizza by Fire & The Marshmallow Cart for catering! Love that!!! Enjoy the photos below – thanks for choosing Sperry!

A lakeside wedding may be the choice for you after seeing these!

Lake Winnipesaukee has so much to offer! It is one of the most popular lakes in New Hampshire- but did you know Bald Peak Colony Club is right on the shore here?! This stunning venue was the home of our tent for a beautiful wedding captured by Brea Mcdonald. Not only did Bald Peak provide a wonderful place for our tent to be set up- they also took care of the catering and cake for this day! Talk about an all-in-one service!

Among the many talented vendors that came together for Leslie and Jeff’s special day was Lotus Floral Designs – from amazing floral runners to cute succulents it is so incredible to see the many ways our Sailcloth tents can be dressed up! We love when florists even incorporate hanging florals as seen here!

Sperry set up in Scarborough, Maine Libby and Brandon

Prouts Neck

This beautiful day was featured in Classic Bride Blog!

“Libby and Brandon’s summer wedding in Scarborough, Maine, was a classic vision. The couple tied the knot by the sea at a private residence and a Scottish bag piper led a procession after the ceremony. The reception took place at Prouts Neck Country Club and Beautiful Days created a perfectly polished tent setting that looked like a dream come true. / Images by Brea McDonald. “

“Says Libby, “I grew up spending my summers in Prouts Neck and it has always been my favorite place in the world. When Brandon and I started dating, he began coming to Prouts Neck with me and it is now one of his favorite places in the world, as well. We got engaged in Prouts Neck and when it came time to plan our wedding, it was the obvious choice. To be completely honest, I have been planning my wedding in Prouts Neck since I was five years old and we did not look anywhere else. For style, we knew we wanted to stay classic. We loved lots of whites, greens, and neutral tones.

Libby’s advice? Don’t stress out. It’s the best day of your life, have the best time of your life.

Brea McDonald always captures amazing shots of our sailcloth tents and she really out did herself here! Special shout out to Kate Martin of Beautiful Days for making our tent one to remember as well! We love how classy and elegant this wedding was and are thrilled Libby and Brandon chose Sperry to help their special day come together!

Marrying in Maine: Laudholm Farm Wedding in Wells

CAROLYN + JOHNNY

The knot just featured an article on reasons to get married in Maine! “Wild and wonderful, Maine is overflowing with natural beauty. From its serene interior forest lands to its breathtakingly rocky and dramatic coast, the Pine Tree State is the most unspoiled, sparsely populated state on the entire Eastern Seaboard. From beaches to barns and even some charming urban spaces, there are many wonderful places to get married in Maine. “
We frequent Maine a lot for the various locations we put up tents and we have to agree! Maine is simply gorgeous and we are lucky to have had our sailcloths set up all over this beautiful state! Carolyn and Johnny celebrated at one of our favorite spots in Maine, Wells Reserve at Laudholm!
