If you haven’t heard of Prout’s Neck, Maine it is actually a coastal peninsula that is situated within the town of Scarborough! It is a place we have been frequenting for quite a few years now and is an incredible wedding venue location! Laura and Carl hired the ever so talented Brea McDonald who said, “Prouts Neck is one of those quintessential, timeless coastal Maine communities that you just fall in love with! And it was the PERFECT setting for Laura and Carl’s wedding weekend. From the shingled chapel, the navy blazers, custom lobster monogram and Laura’s heirloom veil their wedding day was straight out of New England look book! “ You can read up on Brea’s blog here.
Laura and Carl had a drop dead GORGEOUS reception by water! Can you imagine dining with those ocean views – too good! Thanks to Kitchen Chicks were sure the view wasn’t the only thing the guests were talking about during dinner!
Be sure to take note of Laura’s dress- what a cool switch up from ceremony to reception!
Ever heard of Vinegar Hill Music Theatre? “ A gracious, historic barn, Vinegar Hill is an intimate venue that provides entertainers with a superlative, vibrant setting to showcase their talents. Featuring a variety of genres, like cabaret, classical, rock, folk, and blues, Vinegar Hill Music Theatre resides in the former Arundel Barn Playhouse, a timber barn known as the Smith Sister’s Farm. Located in an area of Kennebunkport’s Arundel, historically known as Vinegar Hill, the venue’s name honors that history.” This venue is one of the many places we frequent in Maine!
We set up a tent here for a colorful Bar Mitzvah for Joey! This day was coordinated and planned by the amazing Lani Toscano who handled the florals as well. Without Siobhan of Maine Tinker Photography we wouldn’t have these incredible shots to look at! This venue was the perfect home for our sailcloth set up that dinner took place under! Shout out to Kitchen Chicks for always dishing out some tasty meals. We loved the drink selections including Maine Blueberry Lemonade, Lemony Snickets (Sprite w grenadine and lime), and Tango Mango ( orange crush with mango and cherry) YUM — nice and refreshing for a hot sunny day!
The knot just featured an article on reasons to get married in Maine! “Wild and wonderful, Maine is overflowing with natural beauty. From its serene interior forest lands to its breathtakingly rocky and dramatic coast, the Pine Tree State is the most unspoiled, sparsely populated state on the entire Eastern Seaboard. From beaches to barns and even some charming urban spaces, there are many wonderful places to get married in Maine. “
We frequent Maine a lot for the various locations we put up tents and we have to agree! Maine is simply gorgeous and we are lucky to have had our sailcloths set up all over this beautiful state! Carolyn and Johnny celebrated at one of our favorite spots in Maine, Wells Reserve at Laudholm!
I want to once again thank the Sperry crew, including Liz for all their assistance with this weekend’s wedding celebrations at Wells Reserve. Yesterday the tent crew worked under extreme and uncomfortable conditions to only be subjected to a very particular Mother of the Bride. The crew remained friendly and professional after being asked to relocate (multiple times) the already installed stage and catering tent. Yesterday was just one of the many reasons Sperry Seacoast is the best.
