OMG!!! They Didn’t Do That!!!
Once again the Knot.com has out done itself with this pictorial. Which ones do you like? We found the dog one the coolest. But the beach and bathroom photos maybe just a little over the top? Either way they all will bring a smile to you face and maybe a good idea like the ice sculpture.
The typical wedding: white dress, tiered cake, floral centerpiece, cute flower girl — you know the drill. Every once in a while, though, a couple trades in tradition for a quirky never-seen-that-before idea. Here are a few of the most out-there wedding photos that made us do a double-take.
|A Candy Wrapper Wedding Dress
Sometimes a white wedding dress just won’t do. For this bride, a candy wrapper wedding dress and a pair of bright red shoes was the perfect ensemble for her Dylan’s Candy Bar (a candy store) wedding in New York. Their first dance song? “Sugar, sugar” — duh!
|The Pre-Packaged Wedding Exit
A “Just Married” sign and cans on the back of the getaway car: not enough accoutrements for this wedding car. Imagine how the newlyweds felt when they walked out of the church to find their getaway car completely wrapped in holiday paper.
|A Dressed-to-Impress Wedding Dog
Flower girls and ring bearers are cute. Flower dogs dressed to the nines with a fresh rose corsage, crystal-beaded collar, and cuff links included? The jury’s still out.
|The Informal “Wedding Portrait”
We’re not sure what to think of this one. It’s probably just their way of having a little fun. Or maybe they just worked way too hard on the stair climber not to show off their amazing glutes.
|A Rocky-Themed Reception Entrance
This couple decided that instead of the typical “please-welcome-the-newlyweds” reception entrance, it would be better to enter to the Rocky theme song with a feather drop while throwing a few playful (we hope) punches at each other.
|Wedding Flowers for the Toilet
Case in point: Flower arrangements do a great job of classing up the joint.
|Groomzilla and His Bride
Instead of holding hands and posing for the camera, these two decided to reinvent the couple’s portrait. Hey, a little role-playing never hurt anyone, right?
|The 700-Calorie Groom’s Cake
There’s no rule that says the groom’s cake has to be chocolate…or look like a cake…or not be a cake shaped into a double cheeseburger with a side of fries.
|Some Serious Ice
Step aside ice sculpture swans (yeah, someone liked their engagement ring).
|Storm Trooper Action
There’s nothing like a Star Wars storm trooper to keep all your guests in line. Anyone makes a snide comment at your reception, and blamm — they’re done.
