I was a boy scout as a young man in the state of Rhode Island. I have never forgotten how important being a scout was to my community and own personal development. Memories of scouting events never fail to make me smile. I can identify as I conduct my actions in life today is in some ways reflective of what I learned as a boy scout. The Boy Scouts of America are one of those associations that that help to build character, and good life habits at a young age. So I am always happy when I can contribute and give something back to the organization and support my community at the same time.

We have two 30×45 wedding tents that are no longer up too my high standard of wedding quality but still have many, many productive years of service left in them. Usually these used tents are purchased by other rental companies and put in their inventory for rent. I did not want to do that is time. One of those memories that make my smile I guess… So I spoke to Larry Hayes from Grappone Group who I know was involved with the Boy Scouts and asked him how I could help. He introduced me to Craig Newell from the Daniel Webster Council for the boy scouts. I spoke with Craig and after more reminiscing with him decided the best way to help was to gift these tents to the Daniel Webster Council.

So we are humbled and proud to announce that today we gave two 30×45 Tents to the Daniel Webster Council as a permanent donation. These tents will be utilized at the boy scout camp in Gilmanton Iron Works for dining, projects and special events. We also donated silverware for the cafeteria. This will help defray the costs of serving the scouts and hopefully, in my own way, help create new memories and lifelong lessons for all the up and coming scouts in New Hampshire.

My legacy is to be a significant supporter and philanthropist of charitable non profits in New Hampshire. If any non profits have a project, we would welcome the opportunity to help. Sincerely, Michael Parkin CEO 603-778-9838 X105 Exeter Events and Tents
