Every year there are colors that are “hot” and colors that are “not”. It seems that the color palates that were all the rage even 5 years ago seem outdated today. It’s especially fascinating working in the wedding and event industry to see the evolution of color and how it’s used. The Pantone Color Institute™ is an organization that provides color trend forecasting. They predict what trends we might expect to see in the coming month or years. They have just chosen the 2015 Color of the Year and it’s Marsala. Their description of the color:

“A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls.”

Often, what draws people to a Sperry Sailcloth Tent, is how our tents just seem to “go” with everything. Any initial skepticism about how this color would be able to compliment an outdoor tented wedding was quickly quelled by a simple internet search. Now we’re hooked and can’t wait to see marsala and it’s complimentary colors make it’s way into our tents!
