Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion: 375 Little Harbor Rd., Portsmouth, 603-436-6607, www.nhstateparks.org  *A National Historic Landmark overlooking the picturesque inland waterways of Little Harbor. Grounds and Coolidge Center available for event rental. Located down the road from Little Harbor Chapel (seasonal, 603-436-4902). Governor Langdon House: 143 Pleasant St., Portsmouth, 603-436-3205, www.historicnewengland.org *A National Historic Landmark. Expansive lawn behind the mansion shaded by trees, enclosed by hedges and a perennial flower border. 100-foot rose and grape arbor leads to secluded pavilion. Adjacent carriage house with restrooms & catering space. Rental limited to outdoor seasonal use; up to 150 guests. Tours of the 1784 Langdon House may be arranged in advance for function guests.

North Church of Portsmouth UCC: 355 Spinney Rd., Portsmouth, 603-436-9109, www.northchurchportsmouth.org *Non-member weddings for a fee. Up to 500 guests. Available Saturdays, 10am-noon; 1-3pm; 4-6pm; 7-9pm. Space not available for Sunday weddings. Organist/pianist available. Please call for more details.

The Portsmouth Pearl, 45 Pearl Street, Portsmouth, 603-431-0148, www.portsmouthpearl.com *Originally built in 1868, The Pearl retains many of its distinctive features: the two-story windows topped with stained glass, the curved staircase and balcony and the pressed tin ceiling. The Pearl is the only historic African-American church structure in the state of New Hampshire. It was here that Martin Luther King, Jr. preached in 1952, while still a divinity student at Boston University.

Fuller Gardens: 10 Willow Ave., North Hampton, NH, 603-964-5414, www.fullergardens.org *Public display garden, located on the ocean, featuring over 1700 rose bushes, formal English perennial borders, Japanese Garden, annual display beds and a tropical and desert conservatory. Seacoast Science Center: Located on the ocean’s edge within historic 135-acre Odiorne Point State Park. Expansive lawn for a seaside ceremony and an amazing backdrop for your photographs. From the fun of a lobster bake to a formal dining experience, the Center becomes yours on your special day.
