As the article in Boxford wicked local begins (See the complete article here). A refuge for a victim of the 17th century Salem witch trials. A country seat for Salem ship owner Benjamin Crowninshield. A 500 hundred-acre gentleman’s retreat for Thomas Wentworth Peirce in the 19th century. A family residence in the 20th century. And now 116 Boston Street in Topsfield will be, in the words of new owner Sean T. Ward, “a place that lots of people can share. It shouldn’t be a place that no one sees. I want Topsfield and Essex County to be aware of this property and use it.” Sean Ward and business partner Michael Gutman co-owners of Syllogistic Management Solutions, LLC, bought the property from the Cheever family in March 2014 with the plan to turn it into a unique spot for conventions, software training sessions, musical events, family reunions, parties and eventually – weddings.
